My wife and i have been eating at Acropolis Pizza for years. I am not sure when they first opened but, i think that we were there soon after. Recently something changed….the decor (no problem)- the recipes, portions and ingredients (problem) – the service (huge problem)….The greek salad WAS one of our favorites but, it got smaller, with less feta, poorer quality. The Pizza (double cheese and pepperoni has changed (just not as good)…We often go on Wednesday evening after our church meeting – which gets us there about 8:30 so we tried calling ahead so that the pizza could be ready when we got there otherwise we have to eat really fast or linger (which makes to wait staff anxious) We called ahead and ordered…. We got there and told our waiter that we had ordered ahead and that it would soon be ready, then ordered our cokes, He came over and threw (yes really) a pizza box on our table and huffed off, when he brought our cokes we asked for a greek salad and he said gruffly “you want that to go too?” He treated us like dirt, scum of the earth …We are never going back…we used to recommend it to everyone and often took friends and family – NEVER AGAIN
Prices are pretty awesome and food has been mostly consistent. Came here originally because its the only local place I have found that has chicken francese, a fave of mine. Wasn’t blown away- but everything else I have had has been great. The calzones are a good deal, you can have up to 5 toppings for no extra charge…I hate when you are nickel and dimed to make a custom order at most places. Also the medusa onion is pretty awesome. The place isn’t the best atmosphere, but its always pretty busy.
