Angry worker. On my one day off I came here to eat. I love their food. Unfortunately, where you order it can be loud. I ordered you pick two with the 1/2 Thunderbird sandwich and 1/2 salad. The man heard 2 Thunderbird and the salad. I didnt realize till I got the receipt for $30 or so. I asked him and tried to tell him what I ordered and he immediately became hostile and told me I didnt say that. Well, yes I did but we werent understanding each other. But he was very angry and rude. It is my one day off from working, I just wanted some good food. I didnt wanted to be treated like crap because of a miscommunication. Good food or not, his attitude ruined it and made it uncomfortable. Not sure what the point was to him acting like that.

Really good breakfast. My wife and I always like to try a breakfast place whenever we visit new cities. As early risers (and early breakfasters) this posed difficulties in downtown asheville as a lot of the recommended places (e.g Tupelo) dont open until 9 on Sunday. I usually eat at like 6 or 6:30! 9 is closer to lunch for me! We ended up going with this cafe as they actually opened at 8a. I got the joey. The sausage, egg, and pesto blended very very well with the everything bagel. My wife got the portabello and it was also quite good. If I had a minor complaint, my sandwich was a smidge on the greasy side, but it was so tasty, I dont really mind. Coffee was good as well. We split a side of biscuits and gravy and it was also good, though not outstanding. Of all the places in asheville that we tried this weekend, this is a place I almost certainly will return to on our next trip.
