  This Dairy Queen had all of the basic amenities of your usual DQ and their blizzards were definitely up to par except for one glaring issue, THEY DID NOT DO THE BLIZZARD FLIP TEST. Now this is a proud tradition I am always happy to see happen and I was disappointed that it did not. One of my fellow diners looked up on their corporate website and it said that if they did not do the flip then you get a free snack sized blizzard. He brought this to their attention but they denied it by saying that they were not a part of the franchise. This seems a little fishy to me. In summation, if you want a quick blizzard or snack this DQ is a nice choice, but if you want a DQ that holds onto the proud tradition of the flip then you may want to try another location around Asheville.

  Horrible service at Tunnel Road, Wonderful service at Exit 44.. My husband and I went into Dairy Queen on Tunnel Rd around 6:30 on Sat night. No cars at all in the lot. No customers in the inside. We stood there, no one came to serve us. There was one girl working, did not say I will be with you in a minute or hello. We waited, and waited. I said to my husband, let’s go, he said, we are already here, let’s wait. We waited and waited. Someone from the kitchen said something to the girl, she answered them and still did not acknowledge us. We waited longer and I finally said, this is ridiculous and left. We went to the Dairy at Exit 44 in West Asheville which was very busy and we were served quickly with a smile! We will never go to the Dairy Queen on Tunnel Road again. Serious training need to take place!!!
