We are back in NC and decided to give Fig another try. We were very impressed that after our unhappy meal there about 6 weeks ago we were contacted by the owner who apologized and offered a free meal to compensate us. We declined the offer but were impressed with his sincerity. We had lunch July 3 and Sunday brunch July 8 and found the food and service first rate. We’ll be back often!22 May, 2012We have eaten at Fig maybe 10 or 12 times and always enjoyed it until last Sunday May 20, 2012. We arrived at 12 noon for our reservation and were promptly seated . Our order was taken and for the next hour and 15 minutes we waited!! The waitress stated the kitchen had been slammed. Too many customers for the kitchen to serve in a reasonable time. What a shame for a previously fine restaurant to succumb to greed
Excellent food. Went to Fig today for the first time, after hearing great things from some coworkers. Went around 12:30 and the place was packed, will be making reservations if I ever go again for lunch. Took about 10 minutes for someone to greet us, then another 5 to find us a seat. The staff seemed very busy, so we didn’t mind waiting. The layout of the restaurant is a little awkward especially if you aren’t sitting by a window, but decor is very nice. I asked for a water to drink while my parter asked for a sweet tea. The server brought us two sweet teas and no water. We ordered the deviled eggs, macaroni and the burger. All of the food was excellent and I felt like the serving sizes were a good portion. I hate going to restaurants and have my portions be enough to feed 3 people. The salad that came with the mac could have been spruced up a little more. It was just some lettuce with a house dressing on it, so a tad boring. Burger was nice and juicy and cooked correctly to temperature. Didn’t order any dessert since we were running late. Server was nice enough, but did seem a little distracted. Would like to go back for dinner. Would be a great place to take friends/family who are not from the area. Overall, food was great, service could be a little better.

Veterans thanksgiving meal. We were privileged to be a part of this celebration today.The food was awesome,but even better, the owner and the staff were beyond awesome. I was very touched by this true display of appreciation for those who have borne the battle.We are so grateful that there are those who acknowledge the importance of our veteran population and have expressed it in such a generous caring way.We will never forget this day. GOD bless all responsible for making this a truly blessed day.
Great dish. Gorgonzola and celery makes a great combination. This was an amazing salad. Also had the deviled eggs. Perfection
Not sure why this place it taking a hit in the votes. I have always had good to very good food here.
