Not horrible but nothing special…. I’ve been to French Fryz multiple times and I just can’t get excited about it. The food isn’t horrible, but it isn’t the best burger you’ll ever have, and the food is just kind of beige. It’s good for a quick and cheap lunch but I usually feel like I could buy the exact same stuff at the grocery store and make it at home. There just isn’t anything WOW on the menu. I have also noticed some of their topping are prepackaged (slaw and chili) so maybe that explains the mediocrity of the flavors. I will admit though, they have the best 1950’s style milkshakes, so I think my next stop to French Fryz will just be for a nice Chocolate Milkshake. I’ll leave the burgers and hot dogs to someone else. Again, not horrible, just not to die for like many local restaurants around AVL!
Awesome. Absolutely the best burger in Asheville! Tastes like a home grilled burger that even beats Five Guys! Very fresh! Milkshakes are to die for! Have not gotten a bad meal there yet! We live right down the road and go at least twice a week.
Was looking for a decent hotdog or burger in Asheville but this isn’t it. Very dissapointing.
Good… not great. Definitely has the hometown atmosphere I like in a burger joint. Although, not spectacular food, it’s a good place for a quick bite, and much better quality than other fast food in the area.
Good place however do not ever send me soggy fries again
Great burgers and Fryz at a great price. They slice the potatoes fresh daily. It’s a kinda of a small place so if you go at the right time you can watch em do it. The milkshakes are nice and thick too!
