If you appreciate home made Italian food – keep driving. My husband suggested this restaurant as the parking lot is always full. For the record I am very particular when it comes to Italian as my husband was taught from his legit Italian grandfather how to cook amazing Italian food from scratch with love and bigger than life size portions. It is rare you’ll see me dine out for Italian when there is rarely a need to do so.Upon arrival the parking lot is full, however, the restaurant was relatively empty. Decoration is outdated with mis-matched swing music. We’re greeted warmly and sat down at normal table. Our waiter is kind from beginning to end. We ordered the meatballs as a starter which comes with what I’m assuming is Sesame Seed Sicilian bread and melted cheese (Pane Siciliano)? The bread is good but I do prefer it without sesame seeds. The meatball is either frozen or cheap meat used. The mariana sauce tastes home made which was good. My husband ordered the Combination platter which comes with lasagna, chicken parmigiana and two stuffed shells. I ordered the breaded chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Hopefully, their pizza is much better then the pasta. The chicken on both of our plates was clearly frozen, the Alfredo sauce was much too thick. My husband’s shell must of been frozen as well. My husband said the lasagna wasn’t the worst thing. I wanted to love this family owned restaurant so much as I believe in family and the tradition of passing down recipes that are crafted from the hearts to share love through the expression of food. You just won’t find that here. 1.5 as the Mariana sauce was good and our server was very nice.

Paid $35 for $5 worth of bad food. Low quality all around. Cheap ingredients, cheap and old restaurant decor/fixtures, waitstaff did not care. This is a place where people go to eat because they know very little about quality food and may be concerned with tradition as this is an old Arden restaurant. They must have great profit margins as little money is spent on food, labor, or restaurant upgrades.Don’t bother.

Don’t fall for scam!. Went with our family told our waiter that we had Groupon coupons. The waiter said that this was fine. When it came time to leave there was a problem, only one groupon per table.the waiter said that it was for advertising and if they used the coupon for both of us, separate checks then they would be paying us to eat there. The waiter proceeded to tell us how another business went out of business and they did groupon every other week. The waiter said that this was not the reason they went out of business. The waiter said they had been there for 39 years with stunts like this they’re not shooting for 40.

Lasagna said it was the best around and I have to say I agree. Service was great and the Italian calzone sub was awesome as well. I would recommend anyone to try!!!

Ingredients were all either frozen or canned. Tomato sauce was flavorless as if from a can and the meatball seemed like it had been previously frozen and was flavorless. I didn’t taste any Italian seasoning or any flavor in anything. Even the cheese didn’t seem fresh. Will not be back.

Good pizza for a good price.. Being a native Yankee, I’ve been searching for good pizza in the South, and this is some of the best I’ve found. The crust is crispy, but not too thin, and the sauce is not overly sweet.
