Solid weekend brunch, great outdoor seating. For the price and quality, Isis has one of the best weekend brunches in town. The menu ranges in price from $7 to $11 with seven regular menu items (not including specials). We’ve tried the Simple Breakfast, Eggs Benedict, and Breakfast Salad. Only the Breakfast Salad disappointed — lacking cohesion, that dish seemed to need a dressing overhaul and smaller sized pieces of fried zucchini. When the weather is warm, Isis has one of the best outdoor seating areas in town — breezy, shaded, and spacious. Good service when they’re not understaffed.
Fun time, but high priced for what you get. First of all I want to say I live the premise of the Isis, the entertainment was top notch (Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen Band). I was very happy with the foods flavor and quality, good flavors, nice presentation. It was just a little amusing that the food prices are as high as they are and the portion sizes are as small as they are, when I read that the pork chops included house veggies I imagined more than two slices of zucchini. After all there was a bluegrass band playing, guess I expected country size proportions, or at least normal size proportions. Over all I loved the place and will be back, but come on, up the proportions a little, make every feel they are getting their moneys worth.
Great staff, really good food (try the W Ross Salmon), really tasty desserts (try the Sweet goat cheese souffl with chocolate something and chocolate nibs), very talented house band. I’m in food/music heaven.
Very good brunch!. Delicious eggs Benedict, and open faced fried chicken sandwich is out of this world, and radical.
Brunch was AMAZING! Two Saturdays in a row and we will be back next weekend!
Excellent!. We finally made it to Isis last night and were very pleased. They have an excellent selection of beer taps as well as delicious food. Dinner prices are on the high end for our budget, but are quite reasonable for the quality of the food. Portion sizes are about perfect, enough to satisfy without overfilling. We’ll go back!
Great evening… Visiting from Miami. We tried Isis with local friends. What a great experience. Food was excellent and service was awesome. We were a party of 8 – and everyone loved their food. The desserts were awesome. Get the dessert with the churros!! Just like the authentic Cuban churros in Miami!! Dining w great people to have great food. That’s why we come to the mountains in Asheville! This was a winner!!
