Chicken Tikka Masala. Best Indian food I’ve ever had. Everything is as flavorful as you’d expect from Indian cuisine and the chicken is always tender and moist. so wish Mela’s was closer to home. Culinary perfection.

Please make reservations easier. When, oh when, is this place going to get on Open Table or have a link on their website for reservations? I have been trying for 1/2 hour to get someone to answer the phone here. This is a requested birthday trip for my friend, or I would go elsewhere. Too many good dining choices in Asheville to make getting a reservation this difficult!

I can’t believe that the reviews for this restaurant aren’t in the high 90’s! My wife and I are in love with this place. The lunch buffet is a complete steal! The chicken masala is so delicious and the chickpea salad is amazing and fresh. I’ve filled up my frequent diner card 3 times so far. This place is much better than Cinnamon.

Consistently delicious food, in a cool atmosphere. The lunch buffet is a great bargain. I’m vegan, and I always have a great selection.

Good, simple lunch buffet. I enjoy eating the lunch buffet at Mela every few months. It doesn’t change much. There’s always either chicken korma or masala, tandoori chicken, naan, and several veggie dishes. I’m always excited to see which dessert is being served, hoping for the first thing I ever had there-some sort of carrot pudding with cardamom. Love that stuff! The service is not great. The food is rather spicy, but you have to conserve your (iceless) water because you don’t know when your server will return. We just accept that we are on our own and eat! Maybe I should take my own water bottle next time…

A great spot on New Year’s Eve. Great good and service. The place has a great energy about it. We always have dinner here when we visit Asheville.

Mela Good!. This place is INCREDIBLE. Such a neat atmosphere, superb service and so helpful! My daughter is vegan, allergic to nuts and a picky eater! They prepared a meal specifically for her that she liked and I LOVED! Plus other vegan options that were so tasty. Definitely give them a try.
