Simply Delicious!. We were at another place for breakfast but they just turned their menu to heavier lunch items and referred us to Rise and Shine. That was a good sign. When we arrived, there was a large party waiting to be seated ahead of us, but the wait was still less than five minutes. As soon as we sat down, they had our table. The wait staff was friendly and open to suggestions. Everything on the menu and the plates around us looked great so I went with the waitress’s recommendation of scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, pancakes, and unlimited coffee. I loved it. Hot, fresh ingredients, and flavor all the way through. The two strips of bacon were enough for my hungry appetite. They were two nice pieces of bacon cooked by someone who knows how to cook. The eggs were cooked just the way I liked them and the pancakes were perfect for a nice weekend treat. I was so much into my food, I forgot what my friend ordered exactly but I do remember that she had a biscuit with their homemade preserves because I got a taste. The biscuit was done perfectly and those preserves were some of the best I’ve had. (Sorry, grandma.) I bought a jar when we left. Yes, I am a foodie, but that day, I didn’t want anything fancy. I just wanted a good breakfast. Rise and Shine delivered. When my travels lead me back to Asheville, I will definitely return.

Most disgusting restaurant in Asheville by far. Cold pancakes, rubber eggs, and burnt hashbrowns (they were literally black on the bottom). The service was awful. There are so many great places to eat in Asheville. Don’t waste your time and money.

I will not be returning to the cafe. My last experience there was met with cold service and cold food. I’m a busy gal, and needed to place a take out order for my boss, and was promptly denied take out service over the phone. Why advertise it on your website?? Will not be going back ever.

Love it here! The food is good and has plenty of organic choices. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating to families, children, and infants!

Keep wanting this place to be good. I keep going back to Rise ‘n Shine in hopes that I will finally be impressed. I keep returning because for the most part, the food is good and it’s much quicker than tacking a downtown restaurant. However, what this cafe’ lacks is hospitality. Not once have I received good service at this restaurant. I am never asked if I want more iced tea until they hear me slurping the bottom of my glass with my straw. The staff do not go out of their way to be friendly. If you’re in the restaurant business and you really want to be successful, you MUST address the issue of good customer service. I really do hope the owners of this cafe’ see my review and take my advice. I’ve been in the business for years, and I would not hire one of the employees that I encounter at the cafe’ because of their lack of customer service.

Asheville friends. . .DO NOT & I repeat DO NOT attempt to go to this restaurant alone. I sat and sat this morning while FOUR other families were seated that had arrived after me. This was ALL because I was by myself. They did not treat me with one shred of dignity or concern as a single person just wanting to enjoy her breakfast. No way will I ever go back. Such a disgrace of a place!!!!!!!
