We sat out on the patio and enjoyed watching the people walk by. The service was good. We had the mussels, brisket, scallops, and blackberry cobbler. I’m not a scallops fan, but my boyfriend wanted them and I did have a few bites. The grits that came with them were very creamy. The mussels and the broth were great! The mussels portion is quite large. The brisket was very tinder shredded pieces. The waiter pushed the blackberry cobbler and I gave it a shot. It wasn’t anything special. I love blackberries, but it was just a basic cobbler. It was good, but would probably try something different for our next visit.

We enjoyed this place some time ago and it was good and service was well done. I can’t say the food was memorable but it was not bad. So many other amazing places and this kind of pales given the high quality locally.

Great service. Other reviews complain about portion size but we found them to be fine. Granted we only ordered small plates but the sizes were as expected. Also the food was very good. Nice flavor profiles.

The atmosphere was nice. The food was pretty much just ok. The staff were friendly. The place was clean. The service was spot on. The decor seemed… Confused. The live music was pretty good if you like the slower jazzy feel. But we were disappointed by the food. There were five of us, each getting something different. Let’s start with the cocktails. They’re just weird. Bacon infused bourbon? Really? None of us had ever heard of such a thing. It was interesting to taste. Just weird. The other drink that stood out was the Salty Bird, which was salty as promised but didn’t seem to have any of the promised pineapple. It just tasted like salted caramel. None of the other drinks really impressed, either. Your best value for your money is certainly a small plate, which you could certainly use to fill up. There was, for instance, much more to a small plate of Mac at $8 versus a large plate of steak and fries for $28. Large plates truly mean large plates. But it’s not synonymous with larger amounts of food. The steak is one of the sticking points for us. It’s strip loin (NY strip). Nowhere on the menu does it say that your $28 steak will be three ounces. Yes. Three ounces. It’s so small that it’s only precut into three measly bites. The menu said its served with house made thyme ketchup, which you assume based upon the way it’s written is for the fries. But no. It’s a small little smear of ketchup and the poor excuse for a steak is placed right on top of it. The steak itself was beyond dry with very little flavor. Another complaint came from the pork shoulder, which was a little more reasonably sized at around six ounces. But that one, too, was very dry and somewhat tough to chew. The only saving grace on the food was the pre-dinner everything seed bread we ordered at $4 each, which was delicious but could have used a little more ‘everything’ and maybe have it throughout the bread instead of just on top, and the truffle fries, which were a little steep at $6.The whole feeling we left with was that it felt like it was a small time joint with average food trying to be an upscale fine dining restaurant. Our trip was for a birthday dinner, but even the birthday girl said she wished we had picked someplace else for her.

Great service, just okay on everything else. We had several appetizers and found faults in all of them. Menu was aimless, and did not deliver on the farm to table promise.

Perfect setting, Spectacular meal by a very talented Chef. Highly recommended.

Dinner in Asheville. Delicious food and greatservice. The menu also has some unusual offerings such as sweetbreads which I live. Great red trout and also wonderfulvegetRian options. Live music too. Reservations are needed.
