Surprisingly awesome!. When everything on what some people might call a limited menu is really , really good. It’s ALL you need. We Were ALL Surprised. Even our New York chef friend loved it.

Great service and ambiance. A friend and I sat at one of the outdoor tables. It’s a great spot to watch people on the sidewalk and have a glass of wine. We also had the charcuterie plate, which was great and came with great olives some things we hadn’t tried before. The waitress was the best part. She knew the guy next to us as a regular and joined us all in conversation about places to go in Asheville. She even wrote down about 5 suggestions on a scrap of paper, which was very helpful to us on our stay. Very pleasant experience overall.

Solid Meal. Wandered around Asheville for quite a while before happening upon the Southern, and glad that we did. Previous issues with service were non-existent, at tleast at this point, as we had two different, friendly hostesses. While the entrees weren’t anything special (hoagie sandwich and gnocchi), the soft pretzels were a delicious appetizer. The different sauces worked for all different kinds of people in our group.

Food was great but not too many options. Definitely understaffed.

Service Bad. Went there Saturday and Sunday service was terrible. I was told they have so much business they can afford to turn people away. We will never go back.

Wish we had tried out more. We came here for a quick drink and snack, but the little I had made me wish we had tried other dishes off the menu. We found seating outside so we can eat with our dog. Our server was very nice and attentive without being overbearing. I had a wine which was good, and my fianc sucked down several Tequila Diablas where were spicy tequila based drinks served in a martini glass. We shared the truffle deviled eggs which were tasty and a nice spin on a classic. The real winner was the three cheese mac and cheese, which we opted to add the bacon, peas, and mushrooms. This was sinfully rich and yummy and I wish I could have eaten a whole other plate. eatdrinkrva.blogspot.com

Order at your own risk. Sunday Brunch.. each item on the menu seemed to lack something. Eggs were either scrambled or poached, no other choice. The bacon hash had potential except the potatoes were not fully cooked. No bread, no toast. The waiter was arrogant when asked about the menu. Coffee options were none… regular coffee only. No latte, no coffee drinks. I would go back if I wanted to pay my $$ for half=cooked food and be insulted.
