Best restaurant in Biltmore Park… This is one of my favorite restaurant in Asheville area. I use to live few blocks up from the Biltmore Park and my friend and I use to go there every weekend for dinner. Great staff and love the food. Disappointed. We have eaten here before but it has been awhile. I was excited to eat here tonight. I ordered the grouper with caper and lemon sauce. The presentation was nice but the fish was slimmy and rubbery. For $25 I was expecting more. The calamari appetizer was good. Service was fine.
AVOID. We decided to try the place for lunch. Was there anything good about the experience? Yes…Leaving!Poor service and overpriced !Go up the street to BRIXX at least you get what you pay for and the service is OK…AND you have saved a few bucks !!
My husband had baked chicken with mashed potatoes last Saturday night11/15/2014. The chicken was overcooked(very dry) and the mashed potatoes were nuked! I just had a salad and told them to hold the tomatoes as I have stomach problems that are aggravated by them. My salad came out loaded with them. The wine and bread were good. Online reservations is a big joke!! We had reservations for 7:30 and twenty five minutes later I asked to speak to the manager. I believe I spoke to the floor manager as they said the main manager was in the kitchen. They said the kitchen was backed up. There was no compensation for this inconvience. The whole point of making reservations was so we didn’t have to wait! The girls at the reservation podium were very unprofessional and did absolutely nothing to help us. I did all of the initiating to get us seated before midnight. Our waiter was good,but since this was our anniversay celebration we won’t be celebrating future ones here.
Service wasn’t great. Just had dinner there last night. The shrimp dish I had tasted good there just wasn’t anything there for what it cost me! The restaurant is way over priced for what you get. The service wasn’t the best and I couldn’t see that the place was packed to create the problem. This was my first time there and probably won’t go back.
We dined here on a Thursday evening. The food and service were great. I had Cioppino Amalfi which was full of grouper, shrimp, scallops, mussels, and clams in a spicy tomato sauce with crostini for dipping. My husband had Veal Picatta wich he thoroughly enjoyed. We had a reasonably priced bottle of Italian wine that was very special. The tiramisu was creamy and delicious, large enough for two to share. The servers were very attentive and the manager was available and checked on the diners. A memorable evening.
We enjoyed dinner. My wife loved the crab cakes with risotto. Good house salads.Hostess was not friendly, seemed angry when we requested an alternative table.
