My friends Ryan and Eva got married and then ate dinner here. Ryan said it was the best steak that he ever had, 11/10. He also said the paired wine, Swift Papillon (?2012) was phenomenal. These are the pictures of dinner that Ryan took. I have never been to Vue 1913 but want to go now.
Grove Park Inn is full of American history. Up in the mountains it’s a lovely resort to hangout and have drinks while waiting for the dinner. Full of people and energy this place is awesome. And what a great food. I finally found steak of lamb in US and it was very good.
Disappointed. For our 40th anniversary we picked a special venue and were let down by the ambience and price. We were seated in an alcove with little view. The prices very high for what you got (lamb porterhouse was the size of a golf ball). The $44 steak dry and bland, bread was skimpy. It had potential but for the price we were let down. Much better value in town.
Vue 1913 has a Tremendous View!. Nobody beats Vue 1913 for ambience…NObody! What’s not to like about panoramic windows overlooking gorgeous mountain scenery. We watched the clouds float in, the sun set and the lights come on in the valley – all while wonderful food and wine found its way to our table in an unhurried but thoughtful manner. The staff is attentive and friendly (also very knowledgeable). Ask for Karen. This is the place for fine dining and celebrating happy events.
Had a great evening with friends for dinner at Vue several weeks ago. The food was good and the wine was Divine! I have dined in many high end Establishments, I have never had the such impeccable service, such attention to detail and great conversationalist in a server. I will back to dine and make sure that Shawn H. Waits on us every time! 1st class Service
Great food and service. My friends and I just had a girls weekend at Grove Park and we had a wonderful dinner at Vue. I had the Scallops and it was delicious! My friends had the roasted chicken, had lots of good flavor and the steak. Our server was very sweet. Besides the drunk guy next to us which was asked to leave, our meal was very enjoyable.
Very disappointed. My wife and I dined at the Vue 1913 on Dec 9th. I ordered the Steak Au Poivre. The silver skin and top fat had not been trimmed properly making the steak almost impossible to eat. Sent it back and the second one was almost as bad. My wife ordered the Tuna Nicoise. While the Tuna was prepared well, the presentation was lacking. A large group of very loud young men were seated near us shortly after we began our meal. Manager gave us a complimentary dessert to try and make amends. Too little too late. We were guests at the hotel so not only will we not be back to the Vue 1913, we won’t be back to the Grove Park Inn.
