I had the worst bagel ever here and at 8 am. You would expect them to be fresh but mine was stale. Better bagels in the freezer section at grocers.
Crummy meat & service … boring. The counter-dude could barely make the effort to take our order; yet alone give any interest to greet us … I asked for wheat bread; got white bread; was supposed to be a Panini; it was cold throughout;a turkey sandwich – deli turkey, not cut from the bone meat – took over 15 minutes to make … really?? … it is not like the sandwich spent anytime in the Panini press.they give a few, stale tasteless tortilla chips with a turkey sandwich …really?$8 for crummy deli meat, tasteless chips & slow service … would you go back?even if the food was good, the lack of cleanliness was noticeable.I don’t get the hype for this place.

Arrogant, pretentious staff. Spongy flavorless bread. Bojangles has way better biscuits. The owner(he answered the phone a couple times and told whoever was on the other end he was the owner) was the most pretentious of the staff. I used to live in the neighborhood years ago and would grab breakfast and coffee here often. Now that I’ve moved back, I see they don’t want my business. West village market is where I’ll be going…or bojangles.
The ultimate veg sandwich is delish and the cinnamon roll is EPIC!
My #1 go to. When in doubt, I go to West End. When out of eggs and coffee, I go to West End. It’s friendly, reliable and always always always delicious. The cinnamon buns are my kryptonite.
