Nice place. Fred’s is tucked away below Fred’s General Store upstairs. It is a great place on top of Beech Mountain to eat deli sandwiches and burgers. Don’t be fooled by the map… Fred’s is all the way up Beech Mountain, so this is a good place if you are already on top, or if you want a scenic drive up.
I’d rather eat food off my own backside than eat at Fred’s again. If you enjoy day old food, you’ll love it at Fred’s! Let’s talk about the questionable, the breakfast hours, he lackluster and the funky smell. I’d rather drive an extra 45 minutes to Boone to get a decent meal. Pull it together.
