This is the 3rd incarnation of a BBQ joint here(since I’ve been in the area), and I believe they’ve finally got it right. 1st we had Ranuccis, that served competition winning meats. They were good, but I never really cared for the sides. They tired of running the restaurant, and we got Catawba BBQ with new ownership. Same menu with different names. The quality of the meat dropped off in my opinion, but the sides were better. Now we have this new place, and I feel like we have the great smoked meats of old with very good sides. The decor has improved this time around too. The service has always been good(actually the same sweet lady behind the counter since the beginning). Overall, I’m loving the new place and would highly recommend it.
