Wonderful historic inn with great attention to customer service! Good food in the Chestnut Grill; cheddar grits are awesome for breakfast! Highly recommend as a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life!!
This place has the best food, a unique, inventive variety of menu choices, and the most reasonable prices I have experienced in a long time. Check out the menu posted here. Located in an historic hotel that’s really neat, and in a high end tourist destination, how do they do entrees for $12 to $22.? Beats me. I hope they don’t read this. I didn’t give it five stars because it’s not a full gourmet restaurant. Makes sense because people just don’t want that heavy food anymore except for special occasions. I would recommend this place for anyone. Even for those special occasions. Relax and enjoy yourself for once. It’s in the former Grand Ballroom, redone in a contemporary style. Informal, casual place that looks more expensive than it is. Good cocktails and great wine choices. There’s also a separate bar,Library, and lobby with weekend piano player to relax in after dinner. One stop shopping. You can even get a room upstairs so you never have to leave.
