For our group of five, we ordered the Pig Out Special anda Chopped Pork plate. The Pig Out included four baby back and four pork ribs, four huge chicken wings (the whole wing), and enough chopped beef and pork tofill way more than the three of us eating this meal. On top of this, it camewith 6 sides of our choice and two sides of bread. We loaded up on corn on thecob, cole slaw, green beans, and three orders of okra and everyone wanted thehush puppies. The baby back ribs were tender and fall off the bone. Thepork ribs were giant and almost overwhelming to eat. The chopped beef and porka little dry but adding sauce eliminated that issue. Dora here. After five hungry people grazing on all that, westill had food left over. :)We rate this restaurant 4 forks out of 5 for a familyfriendly restaurant serving great food. RUN AWAY!. Worst food. Meat was eh-ok everything else was absolutely horrible (Jalapeo corn bread, hush puppies, collards, fries, okra, baked beans) YUCK! We are visitors from FL and wanted to try the best of NC. A few websites recommended this place in their top 5 restaurants to eat at… WHY? Don’t waste your money. We paid $60 for flavorless, hard, dry, detestable food. Doesn’t represent NC well. Stop recommending this place.
Not good at all. I ordered the beef plate. Thought it was sliced brisket. It was chopped and frankly could not be salvaged even with the table sauces. Wife ordered chopped pork…same. We left majority of meal on the plate. Veggies even cold, corn and cobb was dry and cold. Table next to us also expressed their displeasure with meals. Pricey. We have tried our fair share of BBQ around the state. This was the worst.
Pulled chicken sandwich was great. Smoked turkey tasted like something from the Wal-Mart deli counter. Salty and fake. The guacamole tastes like something out of a jar. Chicken breast sandwich was over cooked. Beer, service and pulled chicken were great.
Great Food Bad Service. Best BBQ around, but don’t expect great service.
The food was great! I had the chopped pork plate with baked beans, fries, and fried okra. They were very busy but kept our tea glass full. This is a true Carolina BBQ experience! You have to try it!
Needs a wash. Food was awesome, BUT, the place is dirty and the bathrooms are worse,,, too bad cause the music and folks were fun, com on was up!
