Great food, good prices, very friendly staff!. QuakerHeel pretty much summed it up… Found this place by scrolling through Google Places – Restaurants. We visited for the first time tonight, and very disappointed that we waited so long to give them a try! Can’t wait to try other things. We will definitely be back – SOON!
Homemade Pimento Cheese, Homemade Crackers. This is a small, locally owned country cafe that serves a variety of meat & 2 plates (with differing daily specials),and nice choices in sandwiches and salads. They have homemade Pimento Cheese and Chicken Salad that is outstanding as a plate or on a sandwich. Homemade crackers (thin, crispy & delicious) and potato chips are available.Fried Chicken Livers, Beeef Tips on Rice, Chicken Pie (almost all white meat chicke, no filler) CS Steak, Fried Flounder, & Chicken Fried Chicken – just like Chicken Fried Steak, but with a filet of chicken. All the vegetables are nice, and very well seasoned.Service here is excellent, attentive and friendly. You go to the front counter and place your order – the day’s menu is written on chalk boards – pay, get your drink, and grab a table. Food is fairly quick out of the kitchen, and is brought to you.This place is a hidden gem, with a lot to offer. It can’y be seen from Church Street, so you have to make an effort to find this place – but it will be worth it.
