Bony fish. I think we ate there on 18 August and I ordered fried flounder. The fish was full of bones I asked the girl at cash register if their fish always had bones in it like that. She said I’ve been trying to tell the fish they don’t need bones to swim with but they just won’t listen! I tried to tell the owner but he never got up with me.
They Deliver!!. Great food, large portions, prompt service (even for delivery) and the BEST cheesecake I’ve ever had!!!
Bowman’s has been serving up steaks, burgers, and seafood since 1992. The restaurant is neat, impeccably clean, with a friendly and courteous staff. My wife and I shared a platter of shrimp, oysters, and flounder. Each selection was lightly battered and perfectly cooked. I’ve noticed the naysayer reviewers of this fine beachside restaurant. My curiosity is always piqued whether so many Epicureans leave their own skills behind to be martyrs or take pleasure in taking potshots at decent hardworking folks. If you’re in Carolina Beach, drop by Bowman’s for a pleasant meal at a very reasonable price.
Slightly worse than average…. On the plus side, the waitress was very friendly and honest. I’m pretty sure everything here comes out of a jar, can or bag (as in frozen seafood). She told me straight up they don’t make the potato salad or coleslaw on site…. so sad… is this what restaurants are coming to? This is probably an ok place to feed small children, but otherwise, stay away. I know for certain my husband and I won’t be back.
Very Good. Had a combo of filet flounder and shrimp, it was delicious. Very tasty shrimp in fact. The hush puppies were very good as well.
Good service, good food. Food piping hot and cooked properly.
Skip it. The food is not very good. The people are very nice, but the food leaves much to be desired.
