Is a negative review possible for food? The appetizer fried green tomatoes were good, but putting pickled bell peppers that are not drained just makes them soggy. My wife ordered a Greek salad and my son ordered the children’s fish fingers (fish sticks). My surf and turf came out 15 min before their food due to it coming from a different kitchen. The shrimp was cold, the vegetables tasted like a garlic lemony hodge podge of mess and the roasted potatoes tasted like plastic. The steak I ordered medium due to digestive reasons; It came out rare and unseasoned. I’m not one to usually send anything back, but the waiter offered to have another one made correctly. I felt bad and apologized and he took it away. We asked to be moved inside due to my wife being pregnant and everyone smoking outside, but requested our same waiter since he was awesome at his job and super polite and helpful. When my entree came back it was apparently the same steak but thrown on the grill again. Now the steak was charred on the outside, but was now medium rare. How do you mess up after it was sent back? The cooks need to learn about seasoning and how to cook a thick steak vs a thin one. The waiter asked how the steak was and I showed him the steak and said it was still undercooked. The manager then came over and she asked how it was I showed her and she apologized and asked if I wanted a dessert. At this point I’ve only had cold shrimp and vegetables so I was not wanting dessert after not having a meal and especially did not want a dessert from here. I politely declined. The manager apologized again and walked away. When my bill came the surf and turf was still on there. Not even a discount on it or anything. I can’t believe that I got charged 23 for a meal that got sent back and could not be eaten. What a waste. If you’re going for music, maybe this is the place. Make sure you stop by McDonald’s on your way in. I feel sorry for the hardworking servers at this restaurant. They should not be judged on the food that the poor excuses of chefs put out. I attached a pic of the steak after it came out the second time. The center was actually cool red.
Came here on vacation during the winter, although there wasn’t a lot of people, the food was great! I had the Cajun pasta and my bf had the raw oysters. You have to shuck the raw ones by yourself(the waitress helped us out since she’s been around oysters a lot) but the steamed ones are opened for you. I definitely want to go there again before I head back home!!!
Food is high priced and average at best. Restaurant isn’t very clean. The place is okay to watch a game and have a beer but if you’re looking for a nice dining experience there are better options in Carolina Beach.

Unless you’re going for the bar, don’t bother. Service isn’t great and the food is a joke. Don’t waste your money.
Such a disappointment!. We have eaten here before and have friends that make this place a Saturday afternoon staple during the summer. Last Sunday we took our daughter here to celebrate her 24th birthday. We arrived at the same time as another family and we were all seated outside at our request. It was warm and sunny and we immediately started looking at the adult beverage options to qunch our thirsts. There were 2 different girls serving outside customers on this day. The family before us had their orders taken within minutes of being seated. They were drinking their beverages within the first 5 minutes. We were seated at the cornhole pit and 10 minutes after being seated no one had even come to our table! The hostess came outside to clear a table near us and as she walked by she asked us if we had been waited on and we told her no. She said she would have a server come right over. Servers would pop their heads out of the door and look at us as we sat in the hot sun but no one ever came back down to our area. We sat for over 18 minutes without a single person on the waitstaff coming to our table. It was supposed to be a day of celebration but my irritation was killing the mood. Lol. I went inside and informed the hostess that our table was now available and we were going somewhere else. She was polite but unconcerned. This was only the 2nd time in my life I have ever left a restaurant. We spend every weekend in Carolina beach in the summer and were hoping to make this a regular spot. Not sure if I want to try it again now. This situation is sad to me because no one seemed to care about our business. I hope the owners will talk to employees and tell them to at least pretend to care about customers and their business.
Fun place to grab a drink. However, dining experience not as successful. Waited 50 mins for a table where we then sat for over ten mins without anyone waiting on us. Decided to leave at that point. Bartenders very friendly but can’t say the same for hostesses.
