Too Little for Too Much. I had lunch there today. Nice atmosphere and the food was probably the best I have ever tasted. I would have loved to give it 5 stars, but the roasted pear salad, which was a lunch ENTREE, while exceptional, was barely enough to satisfy a mouse. I added shrimp for $7.00 and thought they were joking when I only counted 3 shrimp on the sparse greenery. I had a cup of gazpacho, which was also perfect, but left there $23 plus tip lighter and very hungry. Too bad. I really think this restaurant could be a real winner, but most people want to feel satiated and it would cost at least $50.00 to eat enough to feel satisfied. A $14 hamburger looked to weigh no more than 3 or 4 ounces. I’m sure it was very good, however, REALLY?!?! That had to be one very expensive cow!. Loved the food but I’m afraid I won’t be back. I don’t mind paying a lot for food that good, but I don’t want to leave a restaurant feeling hungry.
Not your run-of-the-mill Bistro. Went there for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, service and food. They have some daily specials as well as a nice selection of regular items – not too many, not too few. I got the lunchbox special (1/2 veggie wrap, cup of butternut squash soup, and side salad). All three were quite good, and just enough. I’ll definitely be back!

Asset to downtown Cary. Above-average across the board. Large outdoor seating area provides a nice location to wind down, enjoy a glass of wine, and savor a decent meal.
NIce Addition to Downtown. Was sorry to see Klara’s go as I enjoyed the style of food immensely. No great surprise being German :). But happy to say Academy St. is a nice addition. Have been 4 times and everything so far has been tasty and served well by a friendly, capable staff. Well worth a try!
Food was excellent. A little pricey but reasonable portions (meaning not too much). Table service was very good but the cook took some time to get the meal out. Great speciality drinks. Not a huge menu but what they had was fresh and well prepared. We will go back. It has been open 6 weeks. Chef relocated from NY. It is a nice addition to downtown Cary.
