Old school…. This is one of those places where even the soda, which you know is the same across the board, just tastes better, somehow. Reminds me of the small town atmosphere so tough to find nowadays. I enjoy sitting at the counter and listening to the banter between the employees and customers. The hot dogs are just fine – they’re what i go for, especially on Wednesdays when they are 2 for $2.75.

Old school drug store with a limited seating lunch counter that serves among other things, one of the very best Southern Chili Dogs I’ve ever eaten. The weiner is a Jesse Jones, neon red model, the chili is meaty, with outstanding taste, the bun is soft and fresh – the exact combination you are looking for in this type dog. It will be very, very difficult for me to be anywhere near this place, and resist stopping fod a hot dog – they’re that good.I tried the BBQ Sandwich here, and it was ok – the barbecue is furnished by Ole Time Barbecue, which is located a couple of miles down the road toward Raleigh. I wouldn’t try it again.
