Not impressed. Over salted and precooked everything the Cajun triple sample meal is gross. Red beans and rice tasted like they had been in the in the pot for three days. Jamablya gumbo and red beans made same way. Just a waste of money and ruins the name for Cajun food. Only plus was my Bloody Mary.
Great food and excellent service!The black bean hummus is excellent and the shrimp po boy was great and very well seasoned the hand cut fries are also a must try. The staff are all very friendly and our server even offered to get us all to go cups. An excellent place overall, definitely worth a try.
Not as good as it used to be. This was my favorite neighborhood go-to from the time it opened till they changed it up a few months ago (to a more generic sport bar). Last night we took friends (their first visit) for dessert aftering raving to them about the bourbon brownie. It was good….. but it used to be great. I’m almost afraid to order the Bananas Foster, I don’t want to learn that it has gone downhill too. The Jambaylaya Pasta and other signature dishes are still excellent; the pub fare (wraps, nachos, wings) only OK. The service has always been spotty but friendly, the music is (thankfully) never too loud. I still love this place but wish it didn’t feel like the owner has stopped caring about the quality.
My wife was born and lived her whole life in New Orleans. We were terribly disappointed. Food is nothing like Cajun food in New Orleans. We both ordered a variety of items so we could split them and get the maximum experience. Nothing tasted right. Yes there is always some variation in recipes , but nothing was seasoned or tasted right. Some might like it, but we did not. We will not return.
Really BAD food everything Taste like premade the horrible appetizers. Taste like cisco. horrible horrible entrees. Bad food cocktails i ask for sangria and it taste like cheap.
Every dish I’ve had has been great! Good taste in every bite09 Aug, 2012Food has been great so far. I’ve been trying to find a Cajun diner with that new Orleans swag in the food. Ive tried several items on the menu and all has been great.
Food was great, I had the Habanero chicken sandwhich lunch special and it was excellent. Our service was average, i wouldn’t say our server was terrible but i dont think he had enough coffee that morning. Will definitely return though.
