Honestly I was a little disappointed with our experience tonight. It appeared to be busier than usual with prom parties and large groups. It took us about 40 minutes to be seated when we were told it would take about 20. Our waiter showed up promptly but then disappeared. We ended up getting a new waiter. We ordered an appetizer and two salads to start. After a while the waitress brought us one salad. We had no utensils and had to ask for that. The waitress brought us a fork and a napkin. I had to ask where my salad was when she was bringing the appetizers. When I finally got my salad we had to ask the bus boy for knives. This part of the meal was good. At this point the manager came to clear our table and asked us if we were ready for dessert. I told him we’re still waiting for our entres. We had to wait a long time before our entres were brought to the table. The food was okay but not great. No one filled our water glasses the entire meal and I had to ask a different waiter if they would fill our glasses. We ordered a dessert to go. I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon when there are better choices for Italian food in the area.
Very rude to say the least. We asked for a larger table to accommodate our needs and were told to leave. There were 7 empty when we walked out. The server was at best unprofessional. Will never go back.
One of the worst meals in a long time. Nothing good to say
I would compare the food to Olive Garden and the like. I was looking for authentic Italian food I used to get in New Jersey, but I didn’t find it here. I had chicken with pasta and spinach. It was edible, but had no flavor at all. I poured balsamic vinegar on top of it to give it some taste. Staff is friendly. Nice atmosphere.
So disappointing. We’re new to the area and trying out all the restaurants and this is the very first disappointment we’ve had in two months. We have been to Italy many times and would never even dream of comparing American Italian to authentic Italian cusine but this doesn’t even hold up to good American Italian fare…we’ve gotten better at Olive Garden! The house wine was okay but the two entrees were just bland ( my husband’s not even edible) and the garlic knots were tough and of poor texture. Really unbelievable.
A Truly Wonderful Experience. I’ve recently discovered a wonderful place in Cary to eat TRUE Italian food which is Bocci Trattoria. I’ve lived in Cary for 25 years and have not found excellent Italian food anywhere until my recent experience at Bocci. The pesto salmon melts in your mouth, the salad is fresh and the tomato sauce used on the amazing spinach calzone is to die for. I had to tell Chef Michael how fortunate I feel to have found his excellent cooking. The wait staff are also very friendly and attentive. I feel sure you will agree if you give this great place a try! (I’ll be watching for you as I plan to go often). :^)
