Great food!! POS machine was down but they still rolled with it took my cc and wrote me a receipt. Brisuit was awesome, but I also enjoyed the pork and the polish. Had a three meat plate. Well priced and worth trying.
Dickey’s BBQ. Awful BBQ. Who ever heard of putting a pickle on a BBQ sandwich where the pickle juice seeps in and this was after when we requested NO pickles. Other menu items are pricey and this NC native will not return. There are too many good REAL NC BBQ restaurants in and around Raleigh to enjoy BBQ so do not need to return to this one.
Dickey’s BBQ Pit, Raleigh NC. Whoa – for two hungry parents and one starving student after a long moving-in day – what a place to find!!! I (mom) went in to get a menu so we could ‘look before leaping’ and one whiff of the smokey, bbg smell pervading just the menu was all it took! The staff was very informative and patient, prices were quite reasonable, and food was divine. Each of us had a different meal – all bbq selections were moist and had smokey flavor beyond compare, other items were fresh and seasoned perfectly, sauces added just enough flavor to ‘kick it up’ a notch! And the ice cream was a fun way to finish off a wonderful meal. All in all a great deal for a delicious bbq dinner. Can’t find that in Charlotte – please open here!
The food is average but prices are high. You are much better off at Danny’s BBQ
Awful! The ribs were dried out and the brisket wasn’t edible as it tasted like it was left under a heat lamp for hours. No wonder that I’m the only person here at 5 pm.
Item for item the only thing Dickey’s does better than Q-shack is the coleslaw. The brisket was dry and needed to be soaked in sauce to make it palatable. The polish sausage didn’t have much flavor or spice. The ribs were fall off the bone awesome but lacked any flavor. Overall, a big disappointment for me since I’d heard good things about the place.
REAL BBQ. Haven’t been to many places in the Triangle for BBQ, cause you just never know, if you know what I mean. HOWEVER, the pulled pork sandwich I had was excellent. Not fatty, Not greasy, and I liked the sauce. Tart and tasty. Everyone may have their own favorites. Until I find better, this is mine. I’m a fan.
