Would not Recommend. The entree was good but we ordered Goulash soup and that not only looked like canned dog food but also smelled like it also the mashed potatoes were completely awful I don’t understand how you can mess that up. Then the waitress seemed very spaced out and seemed like she forgot about us for awhile she also forgot the bread that was supposed to come with it didn’t get it to us till we were about ready to leave. She also messed up my side orders and brought me an extra side along with the side I told her I didn’t want. We took our plates home because I was raised not to waste food but I had to alter their goulash and mashed potatoes when I got home to even finish it. Overall like I said the entree was not bad but everything else was not up to par for what the price was I would not recommend this restaurant or come back because of the poor first time experience I had.

Found this restaurant by accident…what a great surprise!! We loved it! The decor was different but the food was very good… My husband mother is German and it was the closest thing to mamas cooking.

Very Disappointed. I took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. We had a reservation which clearly was not necessary. When we got there, there was 1 server and 1 host. The server refused to take us, so after about 15 minutes of waiting, the host came over to serve us. The food was decent, aside from the Bavarian pretzel we ordered as an appetizer. It was clearly just a frozen pretzel which was heated up. Parts or our entrees were delicious, but the sauerbraten and gulasch were cold. During our meal, the waitress who refused to serve us sat at a table across from us and ate a piece of pie. I am assuming she was tired of working? I love German food, but I dont think this place will be in business long.17 Jul, 2014Very disappointing. I took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. Solid German Fare. I really liked this place. Friendly staff, great beer–the large is probably the biggest stein I’ve ever seen! The food is also very good. I had the Wiener Schnitzel, good taste and moist. The spaetzle was delicious. I was wary due to the color, very yellow, but I think that is because of the seasonings (which I loved). Their bratwurst is homemade as is their cheese cake, both are great. Will return!

Authentic. Wednesday night and had a nice crowd. The decor is very interesting with huge murals on the walls of German sights, a vast collection of steins and memorabilia from Germany. The servers were dressed in traditional attire and the music reminiscent of an Octoberfest celebration. Food was top notch. Bavarian in style and all prepared fresh to order. Portion size was generous. Servers were knowledgable and helpful in explaining the dishes. Brats are made in house and are meaty, unlike the grocery store kind that are fatty and greasy. Deserts are made fresh also. Strudel, cheesecake, German chocolate and Black Forest cakes. The German beer offerings are unique to the area. Maybe could be found in a specialty bottle shop but in any restaurant on draft that I am aware of. We will be returning, if not to eat every time but for the beer anytime.

Love the Jager Schnitzel. I went to the German Grille with a group of 8 from work last week. I spent several years studying in Berlin when I was younger and still miss being there. I had the veal jaeger schnitzel with spaetzle, route kraut and a liter of Franziskaner dunkelweizen. I felt like I was 20 years younger sitting in the wooden booths with long wooden tables. Skip served us and did a great job. All I can say is Ausgezeichnet!

I am from Germany and their food is nothing like traditional German food. Everyone in my family did not care for it. The waiter also tried to talk to us about politics and conspiracy theories. It was very unprofessional. I would not go back. It was also too expensive for how bland subpar the food was.
