Consistently good food; good service but could be a bit more attentive to empty glasses. Staff is courteous and friendly.
I had high hopes coming in based upon prior experiences. But I admit that I didn’t have a great experience. My companion and I were greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter, Jose, was very friendly. He brought us chips and salsa, but I’m sorry to say the chips tasted as if they came from a bag at the grocery store. We weren’t quite ready to order, so we asked for an additional minute. Unfortunately, we waited sixteen minutes before Jose returned to take our orders. Time from ordering to the table was about six minutes, which was ridiculously fast. I was worried at the speed because I thought it had been pre-prepared. I think it was. The chicken in my burrito was beyond dry. The beef in the burrito was bland. The rice looked and tasted like Uncle Ben’s Garden Medley heat and serve. Immediately after taking our orders, I finished my drink. I waited fourteen minutes before I managed to flag Jose down for a refill. Unfortunately, he was both our waiter and the bartender and too concerned with making margaritas than to tend to us. I was also puzzled why he had his back to us eating nachos. I’m not sure about the music. Country music was playing in the eating area and traditional Mexican music was playing in the bathroom. Why?Towards the end of our meal, we had to get Jose yet again. Once he picked up our plates, he asked if we wanted anything else. We said we were ready to go. He then disappeared behind the bar, to the kitchen, and to other tables for the next twenty one minutes. I had to flag down a lady cleaning a table to ask for someone who could get us a check. Overall… The waiter was awful. The food was only mediocre. I’ve had better elsewhere.
Stopped in for lunch. Ordered, went to restroom (which was very clean btw) to wash hands and by the time I got back, my food arrived right away. Great salsa too. Beautiful decor. Nice place, good food, and good service… enough said!
