Los Tres Magueyes is the best Mexican Restaurant I’ve been here many times and it has never disappointed the wait staff is friendly and the food is good.
We got a coupon for Los Tres Magueyes with our shopping, and decided to go ahead and try it. These are my thoughts. 1. The decor is loud but charming, in a bizarre kind of way. 2. There is no drinks menu, so you have no way to estimate the cost, size, or contents of each drink. 3. The Pina Colada is massive. There was more than enough alcohol in this, but whatever form the coconut took it left a strange and slightly unpleasant aftertaste. My waiter seemed troubled that I did not finish the drink, and I was touched by his concern, and did not want to tell him that it was not my favourite Pina Colada. 4. The staff is really nice here, and even if the food and drinks are not great, you don’t want to hurt their feelings. 5. The chips are not the best, and could be crisper/ fresher. 6. The salsa verde is excellent. 7. The Chori Pollo Taco is tasty enough, if you eat it right then. The sides that come with it are not. 8. Stay away from the black beans. Boring. Specially when someone else at the table might get refried beans with their order- much tastier, but also a greasebomb. 9. The Beef Taco was also acceptable. 10. I am not wowed by the experience, but the prices are acceptable, the portions large, and the service courteous.
