We selected this location for a family dinner. The steak was good. In spite of the fact that when we arrived half of the tables were empty the service was terrible. Our order came out in stages. We got our steaks and were told the sides would be right out they did not come out until we asked about them twice. By the time they arrived we’d finished our steaks. The fried shrimp were over cook to the point of being HARD as a rock. We generally like Outback, but will not return to this location ever.
Good salad and pia colada. But it stops there. Steak quality and preparation way off. Medium became well done etc. the sarasota location has missed the mark anytime I’ve been there and the second time was under new management.
Good prime rib. We have tried several places around town for prime rib, even the much more pricey Angus Barn. Outback is still our go-to place whenever the crave for a good piece of prime rib calls. Service is hit-and-miss depends on which waiter you get. We don’t see a lot of the same people though we go there at least once a month.
Horrible.. Wake up people. Why do you spend your hard earned money at the Outback? There’s better food to be had, at cheaper prices. For the life of me, I don’t get why you stand in line for an hour at this place. Is it the faux-boomerangs on the walls? or the ridiculous, cliche menu choices straight out of Crocodile Dundee? We were dragged here by some friends, and I’m sorry I wasted the evening. The mashed potatoes were decent, but other than that, everything from the hostess to dessert was a bloomin’ nightmare. Are Aussies even known for their steaks?Anyway – best to try somewhere else. Hell, even TGChilTuesdays has better service and food…
Terrible! Went here reluctantly and have to say, it was about the worst dining experience ever. Service … From the hostess forgetting to seat us and keeping us waiting for over an hour with not even an apology, to the slow service, to the terrible food clearly left under the lights too long, it was just a waste of time and money.
Disappointed….. I’m a HUGE fan of Outback. I’m new to the area and when I discovered this location, three days passed, and I found myself there for dinner. Not what I expected. The ribeye steak was thin and overcooked. The potato and salad were up to par.
Fair. The most creative thing about the menu is the interesting drinks. I find the food to be standard fare, generally well-prepared but not exceptional. The ahi tuna appetizer was very good, while my fillet, house salad, and garlic mashed potatoes were decent. The service is fairly quick, polite, and attentive. They offer a gluten-free menu that cites items that are inherently gluten-free, as well as makes suggestions for how to modify other items so that they are.
