Awful! Went for the first time. Slow service, small beer list and bad food. Ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and they didn’t have any flavor to the batter. My husband got a burger and I ordered a crab cake sandwich. Mediocre burger and poor quality crab cake sandwich especially for the price. Our sweet potato fries weren’t even cooked all the way and were mush in the center. We only ate one pickle and waitress didn’t even question to check how our food was or if we didn’t like the appetizer as we barely touched it. Waste of money. They should have paid us to eat dine here. Definitely not returning!

Downhill. Sad. The Corner Tavern & Cafe has gone downhill. The main resaon is simple–bad customer service. In person or over the phone for a to-go order, you get attitude if you ask a question. After years as a regular cusmoter, I have taken them off my list of options in Cary. Treat people well and they come back.

My corned beef sandwhich was fantastic. Sweet potato fries were excellent and the Tavern Tots appetizer was really good. Prices were high and my wifes salad was the smallest ever for 8 dollars.

Great staff, So so food. Went here for drinks on opening weekend. Happy to see the place was full and glad to see that a bar was at this location.Recently went back for dinner. The food was so so, but the staff was very attentive.

To the long detailed negative posters. If you had taken half of the time and energy it took to write such a detailed negative review on a newly opened restaurant and perhaps ask for a business card of the manager where you could have addressed your concerns and complaints with the manager in a more appropriate manner. Your complaining verbage and in the manner delivered does not speak well of you my two good Sirs. Your intent was to tarnish this eatery plain and simple. Shame on both of you.

Horrible. Experiences like the one i had here make me not want to try new places but gad i did and now know not to go back. There was barely anybody there the night my wife and I visited and what should have been a 30 minute meal turned out to be an hour and a half. maybe cause it was about 15-20 minutes before the server came by to check on us. Waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our drink orders and bring them back, 15 minutes later the server came by and took our dinner and appetizer order. about 20 minutes later i got my overcooked hockey puck of a burger and i dont even know what my wife got because it was just covered in some ridiculous amount of sauce. Now notice i said we placed our dinner and appetizer order, the appetizer never came, it might have been because we kept getting a rotation of different servers and didnt communicate. So then about 15 minutes later our appetizer came out, we had ordered the crab fritters, they looked like clam strips, and yes, they were clam strips. We made our server aware of this, another 15 minutes or so went by and then they brought out the right appetizer, by this time we were done with our meal. We made an attempt to finish off the evening on the positive note and ordered some dessert, we went with the apple pie, waited a bit and then were told they didnt have any. We then went with the new york cheesecake which they probably got from the kroger which is next door cause thats what it tasted like. All the delays and mistakes could maybe, maybe be ok to deal with if the place was just jammed pack with people but there was barely anybody there and there were also other employees just standing around doing nothing. This was pretty much a horrible experience and quite possibly the worst we’ve ever had at a restaurant, don’t think we’ll be going back.
