Good food, ok service. I’v been here several times and the food is always good. However sometimes the service takes forever. It’s worth the wait, just don’t come here if you’re in a hurry.
Great food and service. I really do not understand some of these reviews about the quality of the service. I have been to Tom Yum Thai many times and the service has always be fantastic. The owners are very friendly and very attentive. It makes me wonder if there is more to some of these stories…The food is great. I especially love their big bowls of soups which are a full meal all on there own. I highly recommend the pork curry noodle soup. Tom Yum Thai makes their own noodles in house. The Raleigh area does not have many decent Asian restaurants, but this is a good one. Check it out and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Used to eat here all the time. The service is god awful. I really love the food but the last few times I have been there I have had to argue with the waiter about my food. For example getting red curry instead of green. Clearly the food was red they insisted it was green.. Don’t understand how they can continue there business with such terrible service
Terrible service. I asked for soup and it was too salty. They took it back and brought it back and it was the same. So I said just give me the main course. It was some fried rice that was mushy and did not taste good. I was hungry so I ate some of the vegetables anyway. While I was eating the head cook (I presume) came to my table and accused me of some problem with my throat – and said that’s why I felt the soup tasted too salty! I just nodded and did not want to have any conversation with her. I left very dissatisfied.
Great food. We were very satisfied with the food quality, taste, ambiance and the service….Specially the hot garlic Salad and vegetable dumplings were awesome!!! overall it was a wonderful experience…
Very bad service, I eat Thai all the time and I love it, I ordered a dish that I am very familar with and it was terrible. When I let the staff know all he did was insult me and claim I must have never had this dish before because they make it just like every other Thai restaurant. He didn’t offer to make me something else or even lower the bill, which would have been nice since this place is sooo over priced. They just lost a lot of business because I had actully gotten take out from there before and that dish was ok. They didn’t handle the situation correctly at all. I will never go back.
