Best Mexican food in the area!!. I have gone to Totopos about 4 times now and every time it’s a winner. We love the guacamole sampler as well as every main course we have tried. This restaurant is on my list of favorites!
Disapointing. My husband and son had been to Totopos and had what they considered a good experience. We went on a Thursday evening. It was extremely loud even though not full and the music played over the loudspeakers was just noise. My husband and I had the Mahi tacos. The cabbage was not crisp and there wasn’t much. The sauce was very odd, over sweet and lacked depth of flavor. I had better fish tacos at chain Mexican places. Our son ordered cheese quesadilla and only ate a small portion of it though hungry. The black beans side were very lacking in flavor. About an hour after the meal non of us felt well. It seems that quality control is an issue.The cost of our food was in no way consistent with the quality or value. We probably will not return.
Rubberband in beans. First time was great, food is good, second time was great also, until we found a small rubber band in the beans. Calmly asked for a manager, he walked up I pointed at the rubber band and simply said we found this in the beans. He grabs it and says I will be right back. He walked away and we then asked for the check because I would refuse a discount, because that will not make it better. A few minutes later he comes back, apologizes then says I talked to the chef we don’t know where it came from we don’t even have any of it in the kitchen…. Really?! So what we stuck it there?! That is rude, I didn’t ask or expect any sort of compensation I simply wanted the manager to know. He made no attempt to make it better in what so ever way. This is disgusting, both from a cleanliness stand point, and from the stand point that dude dares to imply that it did not come from his kitchen… Avoid this place
Fresh, fantastic food!. Everything from the salsa, guacamole, chips, was fresh and delicious! The blue corn tortillas were a nice change from traditional tacos. The turmeric in the rice was a nice touch, and the crema was soooo good.
I am amazed at these reviews. My guess is they are all employees. They are clearly attempting to provide an upscale experience, they don’t deliver except when the bill arrives. Empty on a Thursday at 7pm, I should have turned around before going in. One month in business and no one ever asked us how our experience was. Restaurant 101, I give them 6 months… By the way there was nothing positive either I or my wife could say
