The owner was a bit annoying and low key flirty with his words towards the lady guest I had with me, nice guy though. Not all of what I expected but friendly staff and good food.
I love it!. Driving down INdependence and saw it. Finally decided to check it out after reading some positive reviews. Im so glad I stopped in! Was so good the first time I went, I went back the next day! They greet you nicely. Cafeteria style serving. A nice selection of meats from Jerk Chicken, BBQ chicken, turkey wings, curry chicken, to smothered poke chop. The mac and cheese is so good make you wanna slap somebody! I love this spot and will frequent it often so I can get a taste of everything!
I got the catfish which the serving was so small I think he gave me tilapia….the Mac and chez is nasty with no flavor and the potatoes are not fresh at all…I wouldn’t consider this authentic southern food at all….very disappointing
Outstanding food! I have brought my family here many times and it has always been wonderful food and outstanding service! The meatloaf, ribs, bourbon chicken, and curry chicken are favorites. Don’t leave without trying the cole slaw and collard greens. This is not high end dining but if you are looking for great home cooked food Queens is an outstanding value. My family of 5 can eat a great meal for under $50.

Fried Pork Chops. Perfection!03 Oct, 2014Amazing Food. Ate here today for lunch after passing by the shopping center that it sits in. We had just a hard time deciding what we wanted to eat as the employee opened each item for us to take a look at. I opted for the fried pork chop, which is cooked to order. Topped it off with a side of collard greens and mac and cheese. OMG! I enjoyed every single bite of my food. The owner came to our table and joked around with us and show us pictures of the cook and his inspiration for the restaurant. Definately, will be making this place a weekly place for lunch with all of the choices!
