The Philly cheese steaks and the house hoagie are 2 of the best sandwiches in all of Charlotte. Sandwiches are HUGE and delicious. Everything is always fresh, service is great and prices are reasonable. The only thing I don’t care for are their side dishes. I’ve tried them all and they’re a little weak but If your looking for a great Hoagie then look no further. They’re the best In town!
Can’t judge a book by its cover…. I drove by the steak and hoagie shop for many years thinking it must be a total dive given its location on Eastway Drive. I never thought I’d step foot in the place until a friend asked me to eat dinner there. Boy was I wrong about this one. Steak and Hoagie has by far the best sub sandwiches I have ever had. The south street sub is the best Philly Cheesesteak-type sandwich ever. The tuna sub is also noteworthy. They also have greek type dishes if you prefer. I can only imagine the cash this place could rake in if they would move to a nicer part of town with better exposure! With that being said, don’t be deterred the next time you pass steak and hoagie. Try one today!
