Love this place. This has become my go to for just about any occasion. Date night with the husband, lunch with friends, or birthday dinner with fanily. Have tried many different menu items and all habe been good. Their clam chowder is the best ever. My favorite item are the Tavern Tacos, the combination. Always have had great service as well. My only complaint would be some weekend nights are super crowded, but that’s not a bad thing for the restaurant (last time we tried for a Saturday night, it was a 2 hour wait! We had to settle for a different place)

Wish it was better…. I’ve eaten here twice now. The first time the food was slightly above average, and the service just so-so. Gave it another try hoping for a better experience recently. Hostess was unfriendly & distracted, but server was nice. My order was messed up even after several attempts to clarify with waitress. The entree was not at all as listed on the menu. Young wait staff were distracted when their friends came in and service tanked from there. Food quality is very average and too pricey for the value. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential, especially given its location; just need to work out quite a few kinks.
The BEST Place for a Relaxing Evening with GREAT Food. I have recently moved back to the Conocrd area after being away for 10 years. I have never been disappointed with my food or the service at the Afton Tavern. The outdoor patio and live music Saturday nights are awesome!
Pass. Ate here twice now, disappointed both times. Food was just ok as was the service. I won’t be back.

Cool place to visit with old friends.. We enjoy our times at the Tavern.
