  Italian bread like back in Western New York.. We’ve lived here three years and have not had good crusty Italian Bread like New York has. Moist center and crisp, crunchy crust. Delicious. Smothered in butter. Mhmm. DOUGH has it. We’ll be back just for the Italian Bread. Great Italian desserts too.

  What a cake!. Imagine biting into a golden yellow cake with raspberry filing and rich chocolate buttercream frosting…..oh ok lost my train of thought for a minute! This actually happened to me with a birthday cake from Dough. I didn’t want anything complicated or fancy just a tried and true cake which would transport me back to my childhood. I’m not asking for much, right? Dough delivered on this from the first bite. The cake was moist and had a golden vanilla flavoring which melted in your mouth. In between the cake was a raspberry filling which complimented nicely the vanilla cake. Each layer also had chocolate buttercream frosting which was heavier and rich compared to the cake and filling. There was a balanced ratio between the 3 flavors though in that one never overpowered the other, they just melted together in your mouth. So did Dough transport me back to my childhood? You bet and I came away with the best of both worlds!

  We love this place- I order a cannoli cream cake every Christmas (at the request of my NJ- born mother), and they have THE best pignoli cookies I have ever had. My girls love the cookies of any kind, and the staff is always nice to us.

  Cakes!. Ordered my second cake yesterday. The first, for my parents anniversary, was fantastic. Very good flavors and so moist. Also ordered mini eclairs and of course there were none left! So convenient to have a bakery in Concord and one that puts out great products. Their bagels are out of this world, but get there early- they go fast!

  NY in NC. True to it’s name, this little bakery has brough New York style and flavor to North Carolina. Fresh crusty bread, moist and boldly flavored cakes and pastries, not to mention picture perfect presentation. Today I tried the following:Rosemary sea salt loaf- whole rosemary leaves folded through the entire loaf, just the right amount of sea salt, soft center and tradionally crispy crust.Donut muffin- moist crumbly cake, fried golden brown and coated in cinnamon sugar, the perfect cake donut in muffin form.Black and white cookie- a vetran of New York, soft and sweet with just the right amount of vanilla and chocolate dip, the best black and white I have found in North Carolina. All in all, my entire experience was a treat and I look forward to returning.

  A little taste of home. Wow, what a great place to get those NY treats that we all miss. The crumb cake actually had real chunky crumbs like I used to get from the FH bakery on Sunday mornings. Haven’t tried everything YET.. but I will. And everything is made from scratch. Who needs the grocery store bakery when we have this right in our own backyards? Kudos to Dawn and her hubby for opening this great bakery. I have found my little taste of home without driving 11 hours. You might not be good for my diet but you are good for my psyche.. See you soon
