Excellent BBQ. Would definitely recommend stopping at Jim N Nicks for anyone in the Concord/Charlotte area. Food comes out consistently fast, sometimes so quickly that you don’t even have enough time to devour the delicious cheese biscuits. The pulled pork is good, beef brisket is delicious albeit slightly fatty sometimes, and the smoked chicken was the juiciest chicken I’ve ever had the one time I ordered it.
Absolutely my favorite place to eat, anywhere!! Mac and Chese is to die for. The BBQ has the most beautiful smoke rings on the pork to show the time take to slow smoke. The sweet tea is the best in town. This place is defiantly deserving of a 100% approval rating, these people are crazy if they don’t like it.
Service was great food was terrible! Ordered ribeye medium came out raw!! Potatoe was crunchy not cooked all the way, 2nd and last time I will go there. Was amazed at the rating but then noticed only 4 others rated it.
First time here and glad it is not close to my home or I would need a perminate table. Very impressed for a local chain. Server FAITH was fantastic and the food was better. Come hungry as everything was great. Riblets were great so was everything we ordered. Now back to work not right but great I will be back next time in town
Upscale Que. I love Barbecue, particulary Eastern NC style so I wanted to see what the Birmingham Ala transplants take on it was.I was pleasantly surprised. Cross between a traditional Que House with everything freshly smoked and the more modern trend of everything fresh. They don’t even have a freezer so everything is fresh.My wife, sister-in-law and I went over to this location for lunch today. It was not a random choice because this has been on my US Wishlist for some time. I ordered the Carolina BBQ. I was very surprised that it came Eastern NC style considering we’re right down the road from Lexinton. My wife had had the brisket and my sister-in-law opted for the smoked ham. Three totally different offering and all came out well. The Eastern style Que was very good but everything seemed a bit too clean. Used to the down and dirty places in Eastern NC. The Brisket would have fit in well in the Texas Hill County. Not sure where to place the smoked ham my sister-in-law had but in the end all three of us enjoyed our meals. This place seems to have mastered several different styles of Barbecue and done all of them fairly well.Service is very good and our server was excellent. Very attentive but at the same time, not obtrusive.Atmosphere is a bit odd. Not you typical Barbecue House but more of a cross between a Long Horn and a West Texas stand. Unfortunately lost a bit in the translation.In the end, it’s a very good place for lunch or dinner. Would not recommend during the holiday seasons because traffic is a bear but good the rest of the year.NASCAR fans take note. Right down the road from Charlotte Motor Speedway.
