Good Food but nasty outside!!. Great food, nice Staff! However you will lose your appitite when you walk up to the doors after seeing all of the cigarette butts, trash, and gum all over the sidewalks. It looks like it has not been cleaned in several years from the outside. My little daughter asked me why it was so dirty. Even she noticed it.
Delicious. Just finish lunch at El Torro Mexican Restaurant at On the Green in Cornelius NC.. Thank god a delicious mexican food and absolutely great service. My husband had Pollo La Fiesta and I had the steak tacos. We have found our date night out restaurant. Cinco de Mayo here we come. Thank you Jorge.
Outstanding food and service!. Where most restaurants call anything smothered with cheese as Mexican, El Toro really served up some outstanding dishes at reasonable prices. This is what a Mexican restaurant should be! I’m definitely going back.

Finally!. Cornelius finally has great Mexican food. As a Texas transplant, I have been searching for good Mexican food in Charlotte for nearly 10 years. Search is over. Great food, energetic servers, good prices. Welcome El Toro!!!
Great change. Pleased that we have a place in this spot that is prioritizing on dining, not drinking. This facility has been pleasantly upgraded to give the atmosphere of a very nice Mexican restaurant. Having lived in Central America and a frequent visitor to Mexico, I am someone of a critic. I absolutely love good ceviche. I was impressed with the ceviche at El Toro. Not only was it good quality, there was no lack of large shrimp. It was on a tostada which was unique. Additionally, we had soft chicken tacos. The chicken was excellent. The overall quality of the food will potentially make El Toro the top Mexican venue in the area and it is reasonably priced. The wait staff was very friendly and proficient as well. There have been several different venues at this location over the years. Most tend to be drinking spots that served food instead of restaurants that served drinks. I always felt that a quality Mexican restaurant would be successful and this place has the potential.
