  Nice cozy place. Dont judge this place by the size of the seating area. The food here beats any big establishment hands down. We got a warm welcome and our server did a perfect job in making sure everything came in the right order. If you are in Cornelius area make sure you visit this place

  Awesome little place! The owner grabbed us as soon as we walked in the place and catered to our newborn baby! Great specials and excellent wine recommendation!

  Our Realtor gave us a gift card for this restaurant and we had to give it a try – and we’re glad we did! Food was great – I had a Salmon salad that was fresh and delicious, my wife got the fish tacos and they were excellent. My kids were happy too! My daughter got the herb shrimp salad and my son went with the basics – hamburger and fries. He usually is not a big eater but he wolfed down the entire meal and we even had desert – we split the key lime and brownie between all 4 of us and they both were divine. Service was fast, friendly and professional. Go, eat ad enjoy.

  Another fabulous meal at Fresh Chef. Had dinner this time on Thursday night. Fall off the bone ribs and the tastiest kale salad, delicious shrimp & grits, half price bottle of wine, attentive service, and an engaging chef/owner. What’s not to love?01 Feb, 2015Nice lunch at Fresh Chef. Just dined at Fresh Chef for the first time. My husband and I had a very nice (and fresh) lunch. He had the blackened mahi and kale salad. The fish was perfectly cooked and the kale salad was to die for. I had the Hawaiian chicken wrap which was also very tasty and not too heavy. Loved the fries!! We will be back for dinner.

  Nice addition to Cornelius. My wife and I ate there Saturday night. At first I was a skeptic as usual. My first impression was that a restaurant that charges more than a pizza joint or caf should have table cloths if the menu offers moderately expensive meals. Then reality hit me. This is a nice restaurant that does lots of take-away meals and offers tables for those opting to eat there. It is kind of nice going to a place that offers quality food and service without table cloths meaning that I don’t have to dress up to eat there. I feel that what they have done to the new facility is highly appropriate. As for the food, I had salmon which is always my favorite. It came with seasoned rice and broccoli. All were very flavorful but the salmon may have been a bit too rare for many, not me. The waitress needs to ask if the customer prefers rare, medium or well done salmon. My wife had shrimp which was cooked to the perfect texture meaning not overcooked as it often is in other places. Overall, I was very satisfied with the food and service from the obviously new and aspiring waitresses. They also have my favorite beer, Stella. At first I thought that the price was a bit steep. Then I realized that they are less expensive than many other restaurants that serve the same quality food/service but are much more formal. The plus part is that I can eat for a little less at this place than dress-up places, get served quicker, and have more dedicated good service. I will definitely go here when I need a quick meal, take-away, or just a nice casual night out with friends. And yes, the food is fresh.
