Great Neighborhood Bar!!. I love this bar! In my opinion, it is exactly what this area needs. A neighborhood bar with an intimate feel, great music, food and drink. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, and they always make you feel more than welcome. The menu is not overwhelming, and truly has something for everyone. If you’re not sure which beer to try, just get the beer flight – 4 nice sized samples for only $10! I’ve found so many new favorites, and will be back again and again 🙂

My new hangout. Love this place!. My wife and I have been at least half a dozen times, and is probably now our regular stop after work on Friday night before going home. The reason to come is the great selection of interesting beers (well ok they have PBR in there for some reason – kitsch, nostalgia?) and the wine. The staff is very knowledgeable about the libations, and for some reason, never seem to have to write anything down. Last night I got a flight of 4 beers, my wife got a flight of 4 wines, and they came out all correct. The waitress had a pen in her pocket, but didn’t need it I guess. The beers and wines are constantly changing. Different breweries are featured each week it seems. The bar bites are also very delicious, big portions, and interesting – not your usual pub food. We usually get the pretzels, which are warm, fluffy, and come with mustard and cheeses. The meat & cheese block is also great. They play mostly classic rock off vinyl records, not too loud, so you could actually talk with your friends. The crowd seems mostly adult, courteous, as opposed to a rowdy college bar in uptown. Nice patio outside with some rocking chairs and a cozy couch. Some funny beer memorabilia in the bathroom, must see. This place is for now a fairly well kept secret, and its intimate size is perhaps a nice draw. I’m sure it will grow in popularity but not become a mass market corporate joint like Hickory Tavern.

Great Little Hang Out. Really cool little place in Cornelius area. Play vinyl music while enjoying craft beer or a glass of wine. The tapas is very good quality and fairly priced. I recommend to anyone that wants an enjoyable place to talk or meet with friends.

Great Meeting Spot!. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Cork & Cask, but was more than pleasantly surprised. Very unique selections of wine and beer for every taste. The bar bites are more than generous and delicious. I highly recommend the Block & Board, with more than enough of each selection for everyone in your party. It has meats and cheeses that I can’t get anywhere else close to home. I’ve already been back and will continue to go back.
