Do NOT order the spinach quesadilla, it has a cream cheese spinach dip inside and isn’t grilled, the tortillas are raw. Gross. I want to puke.
Bad last night.. I have eaten at Zapata’s in Cornelius around six times and it has been good enough. Last night I went back with my friends from London that have also eaten there in the past. Two of us got chicken Chimichungas, One person ordered chicken casadilla and the last person to order got meatless casadilla. First problem was that the chimichungas were not fried and a little crispy as they are supposed to do or I would have ordered burritos. Secondly, there was no chicken visable in any order. The Chimichungas were actually mushy and somewhat nasty. I don’t know if I will ever go back there again. I feel that it may have had the experience since I used my Entertainment Book coupons?01 Jan, 2012Descent food/convenient. Food is good and there are usually coupons available locally. Service has always been good. I go because it is close and the food is acceptable for my discriminating appetite.
Friendly Atmosphere, Pretty Good Mexican. Small Mexican Restaurant tucked away on the backside of a small strip mall but don’t let that stop you. Not as varied a menu as other Mexican restaurants in the area as in very little seafood on the menu so if you’re looking for Vera Cruz cusine, look elsewhere. Cusine is more characteristic of the area around Puebla or other part of the interior.Outside of that limitation, the food they do serve is excellent and I highly recommend to anyone. Overall a very good menu and I have not had a bad meal there yet in several years of dining there. Wait staff has always been excellent, portions are generous, atmoshere is cozy and not extravagant but still a nice experience.Overall, it’s a good value. Zapata’s does coupon heavy and if you can snag one of their coupons, so much the better but if you can’t find one, don’t let that hold you back. Still worth the trip.
Cute atmosphere but the food was not good. The spinach quesadilla was not even grilled! It had spinach dip instead of real spinach and cheese on top of a raw tortilla. Very disapointed to say the least.
Pretty Good.. Had the standard chicken fajita and it was fine. Nothing special but pretty tasty. Kinda surprised that it was empty at 7PM on a saturday night. Used a entertainment book coupon and saved about $8.00.
Zapatas LKN. IMO, their dishes are not only somewhat authentic, but interesting and very tasty. In the few years I have been going there, I have yet to hear a complaint.
