Terrible Ownership/Management. I’ve been coming to Sushi Thai Raleigh for years, and with the exception of the occasional forgotten appetizer, it’s generally been a good experience. Until now.For my girlfriend’s birthday, she decided to take her family to Sushi Thai on a Sunday night. There were 8 of us eating. We ordered, and the sushi took 30 minutes to come out — not horrendously long, but the problem was that anyone not ordering sushi, including my girlfriend’s 10 year old nephew, had to wait an hour and a half for their food. We asked about its progress multiple times, and were even told one time that one of the dishes intended for our table had been given to another table instead. We asked for water at one point, and 20 minutes later, still had none. The server finally came to drop off a dish while carrying a full pitcher of water on her tray, and started walking away after dropping off the dish without refilling the empty waters on the table, and I had to get her attention to come back with the pitcher. Those at the table with food (the sushi) felt bad for eating, and those without (who don’t like sushi, and ordered Thai meals) were starving and miserable. My girlfriend was horrendously embarrassed at the experience and started to cry at the table, her birthday ruined by the terrible service. At the end of the night, everyone was upset, and to make things worse, the owner/manager did not seem to care, and bull-headedly kept saying that they were just busy, and there was nothing she could or would do, giving various excuses as to why not. The most she would do was give a 10% discount on the dishes that were late, and even then, failed to discount all of the late dishes. This essentially took about $7 off on a bill of over $200 for the table.Unfortunately, Sushi Thai ownership does not seem to realize the value of making a wrong right with the customer, and because of that, none of us will ever spend another dollar here.
I had a bad experience here. When I called to place a takeout order they almost didn’t take my order because they were closing. I have been ordering there for a few years now but after the customer service that I had I will not be ordering from there again! And to top off the rude customer service that I had the food was per pared very sloppy.
