Wonderful beef and atmosphere. Best salad bar in western North Carolina and French onion soup is to die for. I just can’t make myself try any cut of beef but their filet mignon. Been eating here for over ten years and will continue. Owner is a true pro.
Excellent meal all the way around. Great ribeye, excellent service in a timely fashion. I’d definetly return when in Boone!
The steak was cold and had very little flavor. However, the staff and owner were great and adjusted the bill.
Amazing food, great service. The best salad bar ever!!!
Very Pleasant Suprise. We decided to venture out and basically wander in a restaurant with no recommendations (something I like to do occasionally). We wandered into the Peddler thinking it might be a lower priced establishment (the outside nor inside look fancy). We were pleasantly suprised to find a mid priced steakhouse with service that is second to none. I had the kabobs and my dining companion had the Maryland Style Crabcakes. We were shocked to learn that our dinners came with the Salad Bar(never have been to a restaurant like this with a Salad Bar). Perhaps even more shocking was the Salad Bar which included caviar, shrimp, and… wait for it…. goldfish. The Steak Kabobs were amazing and my dining companion said that the Crabcakes were the best she had ever had (and she is a connoisseu of crabcakes).
Overpriced+outdated decor+marginal food= Not worth your money. Plenty of good places to eat in Boone that have much better food at a much better price.
The staff was very courteous and the food was very good.
