Really good, for Boone. The wait staff were extremely friendly to begin with. I have never been to a place where they apologize for having to look at your ID. Seriously y’all, it’s not a big deal, you don’t have to apologize.For my meal, I had their Sriracha Asian Fire wings with blue cheese on the side. The wings certainly tasted fresh and it was my first time ever having Sriracha sauce on wings. It was definitely a nice experience in terms of food.Their beer selection is alright, but there’s nothing too special. There really isn’t craft beer there, with exception to one or two Foothills beers. The environment itself was nice, although I could clearly tell parking is a problem and some guy was drunk and being homophobic. Then again, when there are people drinking hard on Saturday at 3 p.m., that’s what you expect.Overall, I would definitely go back and it would be a place I would recommend to people when they visit Boone.

Uh, not friendly, not kind, staff after 10:00 PM is just flat out rude. Went out downtown for dinner and wanted to head to the Tavern for drinks, and they would not let me in because I had left over food. Wow. And I really used to like this place. Enjoy losing a valued customer…
Awesome Wings. Town Tavern is one of the best little local places you can visit in Boone. It has a good mix of University life and Boone life. I love their wings, you can get them naked sauce on the side if you like. The bartenders and great, and the owners are always around and friendly. Stop in.
Great bar food…I had the Philly and it was enough for 2 to share. In town for a big rivalry football game and everyone was very nice.
BEST PLACE IN BOONE!!. I love this place! Cheap drinks and FANTASTIC food! Service is okay, but the owner rocks!
I love Town Tavern!!!. I go to Tavern at least 3 nights a week. The bouncers are super friendly and can actually find the date and get you in within a timely manor, unlike most bars in Boone! Justin, the owner is an awesome guy and knows what he’s doing when it comes to running a bar! Since I’ve lived in Boone, that building has been almost 10 different things and none of them have lasted more than a year! The food there is fantastic and super cheap if you get the weekly specials! I would totally tell ANYONE to go there for a good time, cheap beer, and friendly service!
