BBQ and Country Cooking. This is a great little BBQ joint that also serves some great country cooking items. It’s a small place with several tables up front. You go to the back to place your order and pay, and your food will be brought to your table. The NC Eastern style BBQ pork is moist, tender, smokey with some good heat, but not overpoweringly so. The slaw is crisp, moist, & moderately chopped – goes great on a sandwich. The fried chicken was excellent. as was the Brunswick Stew. The fired okra and pinto beans we had were also very well done. The fries were not the best, but that’s just plain nit-picking. This place is well worth finding. They also serve breakfast, but I haven’t tried that.
