Service was the worst I’ve ever had.. We went to mt. Fuji on a Friday night, so generally expected the food to take a while, but what we didn’t expect was such horrible service. It took 10 minutes before we got water and another 10 before our waiter even came over. He took our appetizer order and immediately left…. 20 minutes later when other customers who had come in after us had already been served he finally can back and brought us an appetizer. I reminded him nicely that we’d been waiting 20 minutes to place our order and he claimed it was because the kitchen was full. By this time our water was already empty and he said he’d refill it and left with our order.. Then after another 15 minutes of waiting for water we finally got fed up and asked the waitress from another table for a refill and the manager. She kindly brought us the water and let the manager know and said she would be over shortly. About 40 minutes after our dinner order was placed we got our food, not at the same time, and still hadn’t seen the manager, and our waiter never bothered to bring us water or check in. We asked to the see the again manager and she walked over and dismissed our issue with a the kitchen is busy and left. After we finished the meal which was mediocre at best we again had to wait over 15 minutes after requesting the check and it only got taken over after I had gotten up to drag the manager back over. We won’t be going back with such terrible service.
Probably won’t go there again. The setting and service were all right, but the quality of fish is just not worth what they charge. There are better places to get your sushi fix in Durham that are also lighter on your wallet.
BEST CATERING EVER. I used Mount Fuji for a catering event last night and it was incredible. The food was so tasty and the sushi presentation was awesome. They did everything I asked for and some!!! I highly recommend!

My family has a tradition to come here every year on my birthday. There was only once when we had a bad experience there and it wasn’t their fault, there were a bunch of rowdy students.
Slowish Service, but good food!. My boyfriend and I had dinner here a few nights ago–it was an admittedly late dinner, but we were pleased to find this spot open. We had sushi and Thai (both if which were very tasty) , and were impressed by how large their menu is! The service was a bit on the slow side, but I think they had mistakenly either understaffed or let a few too many folks go home early…overall we really enjoyed Mount Fuji and will likely be back the next time we have a craving for late dinner 🙂
