Great Taiwanese night specials on every Fri and Sat night. While it is just an ok cheap Chinese buffet with nice Pho during the weekdays and lunch hours, it is a great place for the Taiwanese food on every Fri and Sat night. Actually this is one of the three places serving decent Taiwanese food in the triangle area beside the Taipei cafe and the grand Asia. Base on the chef at Mr Wok, all Fri and Sat night specials are made in house which usually take them whole week to prepare. If you are interested in trying Taiwanese style food, stop by this place on Fri and Sat night. While the chef constantly change their specials, my favorites are: the shaved ice (summer only), Taiwanese burger (qua-pao) (winter only), fire rice with dry shrimps, Taiwanese style meat stew soup (only happen once in a while), white radish rice cake, Thai style pa ka pao (basil stir fry minced pork), clam and chicken soup, and mochi (Japanese style sweet rice cake). Oh their fry tofu and pickled cabbage, and braised pork feet are pretty nice too.
Great buffett. Just show up at lunch, dinner is dead and that is not a good time to be at a buffett! I only eat the soup (pho) and mexican…i always stay away from chinese food
