A Chef’s restaurant run by Scott Howell. Known for the risotto but two dry for my self. Can’t beat the seasonal soft shell crabs and he does a wonder with the pork loin, duck and the fish. If the charred Caesar is on the menu, get it.
Not sure what to make of Nana’s. The food is high quality, delicious, and you’ll pay accordingly. The staff run the joint like it’s a fancy high-end restaurant. But they’ve got too many tables in their dining room. Eating there a cramped, noisy affair what with waiters squeezing around everyone, and diners all trying to carry on their own conversations louder than the tables around them. Went there for a romantic dinner, and while the food was excellent, the atmosphere is not very romantic. We did leave laughing, because we felt like we’d just had dinner at the kids’ table at some giant family reunion. The staff seemed to dote on the older customers. As a 30something couple, it took a bit of doing to get their attention. We’ll happily go again because the food is excellent, but only on a quiet week night.
