It’s a lively very casual taco spot, brightly colored and quirky. There are your basic meats available (chicken, carne, pork) along with some far more interesting ones like fish, shrimp, calamari. There is also a nice salsa bar with a good, but not overwhelming array of options. The line to place the order moved quickly, but it took ages for the food to come out. There were only two of us, so we were surprised when larger parties who ordered after us had their food brought to their tables 10 minutes before we got our six tacos. Overall, the food was pretty good, but I would avoid going for dinner again seeing how long it took for 6 tacos.
Excellent food! Trendy environment! They even have beer / margaritas. Very nice chilled salsa bar with all sorts of salsas. Service was lackluster. What looked to be a manager was on the phone up front being slightly aggressive with a customer on the phone. -1 point for the service!
Living in Texas gave me a real appreciation for tacos, though this place is not really traditional and more of the Americano style, they’re pretty good.
Love it!. Will go back just for the amazing roasted plantain milkshake, let alone the delicious house-made spicy chorizo. Love the variety of meats offered, especially the dirty meats. Wonderful variety of salsa too! Great prices and casual atmosphere.
So good. I had a trio of tacos and got to try a good sampling of more exotic meats. I started with a smoked duck taco, which was mild but pretty good. I then had a crispy pork belly taco, which just had the most delicious flavor to it. It was dripping in fat, but absolutely heaven. I then finished with a crispy chicken liver taco, which made me think it was falafel cooked in beef broth. A really dense, hearty flavor. Quite liked it. I need to go back soon as I really need to try about six other things on this menu as soon as possible. Awesome food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere.
My giant burrito was nothing but rice and about an ounce of beef. And everything tasted very mediocre. I’ll never be back.
We eat here every weekend, we like the food and the margaritas, all you need is a little bit of time to enjoy!
